Resumen
En la configuración integral de la sociedad entorno a un mundo sustentable, la Educación para el Desarrollo Sostenible juega un papel clave, en donde, las Instituciones de Educación Superior se consideran sus principales impulsoras. Si bien, la generación de conocimiento es indispensable para el desarrollo sostenible, también lo es el diálogo entre los diferentes campos del conocimiento, los valores, la participación colectiva y el aprendizaje social. Ante esta condición, la Transdisciplina ha surgido como una solución a los problemas complejos actuales, a través de la cual se busca explorar lo que existe entre y más allá de los límites disciplinarios, abarcando los múltiples niveles de la realidad. Este trabajo hace una revisión de 32 artículos en la frontera del conocimiento, respecto a las publicaciones sobre trandisciplina y Educación Superior en la Web of Science. Se analizó la finalidad y método de cada publicación. Con base en los resultados, el 41% de las investigaciones utilizan el estudio de casos. De manera general, se acentúa en la necesidad de planes, programas y acciones educativas con un enfoque transdisciplinario, que contribuyan a la mejora de las experiencias de Educación Superior y el aprendizaje para hacer frente a este mundo cambiante y complejo.
